Storage & Shelf Life Tips

How should I store Original?

Once opened, pop it in the fridge. There
are no artificial preservatives in this beauty, so make sure the lid’s
on tight and keep it chilled to stay fresh.

How long will it last?

About
six weeks after opening — though most people finish it way sooner. As
long as it still smells lush and pours smooth, you’re all good.

Does it need to be kept in the fridge before opening?

Not
at all. A cool, dry cupboard will do nicely. Just keep it away from the
cooker or sunny windowsills — it’s a sauce, not a houseplant

A Vegan Hot Sauce with Proper South Indian Flavour

This is the one that started it all — the original flavour bomb that put Hot Boss on the map.

Made with slow-roasted South Indian spices and Mama’s legendary garam masala blend, this vegan hot sauce delivers proper depth without knocking your head off. It’s warm, bold, and full of personality — the kind of sauce that gets better the more you use it.

Sling it on your dal, mix it into hummus, drizzle it over roast veg, or give your leftovers a glow-up. Whether you’re plant-based or just flavour-obsessed, this one’s always a good idea.

Frequently Asked Questions

 Is this sauce proper spicy?

It’s got a nice kick, but nothing that'll blow your socks off. Just enough heat to keep things interesting, with loads of deep, spiced flavour underneath.

What makes it vegan?

No dairy, no honey, no animal bits — just slow-roasted spices, chillies, and natural ingredients. 100% plant-based and proud of it.

Can I use it for cooking or just as a topping?

Both! Stir it into stews, brush it onto veg, or pour it over your plate. It’s great straight from the bottle and in the pan.

Is it safe for gluten-free diets?

Yep — it’s naturally gluten-free, with no hidden nasties. Always double-check if you’ve got allergies, but it’s made to be friendly.

What does it taste like?

Rich, earthy, and warming — not vinegary or sugary. Think roasted spice blends, a touch of chilli heat, and that classic South Indian depth of flavour.
